Representatives of the Czech Republic plan to open a joint venture with Kazakh partners in Nur-Sultan

A meeting of the representative of the Skoda Transportation locomotive plant, the sales director in the Central Asian region Roman Sorokin with the employees of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC and a potential private partner was held in the capital's akimat. The official website of the cityAkimat informs about it.

The purpose of the meeting was to open a joint venture with a Kazakh partner to localize the production of passenger transport. In addition, the Czech side is considering the possibility of participating in PPP projects.

Skoda transportation is a locomotive conglomerate within the Škoda Holding. The plant is located in the Czech Republic, in the city of Plzen, produces various industrial products of heavy engineering, mainly traction rolling stock for the needs of railway transport.

During the online meeting, the parties showed great interest in setting up a joint production venture in Nur-Sultan.

In a conversation with representatives of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, the latest transport solutions for Kazakh railways were presented. Representatives of the Kazakh side expressed interest in purchasing the presented rolling stock, however, it is necessary to carefully study the readiness of transport to weather conditions in Kazakhstan and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
